What is Diva Dance by Chris Linnares™?

Based in the latest research about the Mind-Body connection, Diva Dance is a fun, passionate and life-changing experience that combines easy- inspired dance moves with psychotherapy techniques to empower women to transform their lives and achieve optimal health by improving their body and minds. Using music, laughter and dance, the goal is to Energize your body, Empower your Mind, Express your Soul!

Diva Dance has earned rave reviews from the media and leading organizations such as Go Red, YWCA, and others. "Get you groove on! Diva Dance is a powerful tool to increase women's self esteem!",Fox Television.

Diva Dance was developed by Brazilian psychotherapist and author, Chris Linnares who craved a more natural way to heal herself after a very dark period in her life. Still reeling from a difficult transition from her native country Brazil to be with her husband in the frozen tundra of Fargo, North Dakota, she plunged into a difficult bout of depression after the death of her beloved father, the stress of her newborn daughter in the ICU, and the 60 plus pound weight gain.

In that time, while dealing with grief and depression, Chris knew she wasn't alone, because today, depression is number one cause of disability in women.

Instead of treating her depression and overweight battles with a bottle of pills, like many people said she should, Chris decided to find a more natural and way to heal herself.

A journey back to a life filled with music, laughter and dance meant hours researching the mind-body connection from scientists and well known authors. She also reconnected with her Brazilian roots, and discovered the power, a lot of us need, to transform our lives; it was hidden in our body, mind and soul. The only question was: How can we UNLEASH the POWER?

By finding practical and fun ways to unleash this power, Chris regained her life and began to heal naturally without relying on medication. Believing that every woman has a right to know that there are more natural and powerful ways to heal and transform their lives, Chris developed Diva Dance.

At this time in our country when awareness and concern about the cost of healthcare is at an all time high, this powerful, fun and inspiring experience encourage women to achieve optimal health an well-being not just through health care, but where it should all begin... through self care!

How does Diva Dance Work?

A lot of people know in order to achieve optimal health, we need to eat healthier and exercise, but in the end of the day, most of them feel they don't have enough energy to put their knowledge in action. That's why it is so important to learn ways that we can increase our energy and unleash all the power we need to transform our lives.

In the dictionary, Diva is defined as "Divine" and Divine means "Powerful." Power, at its core, is energy - a force that is able to make change. So, any changes we want to achieve in our lives - our bodies, our relationships, our careers... we need energy!

Diva Dance connects your body and mind to increase your energy and achieve total well-being.

While Chris's unique program of dance and self-improvement is fun, it's the science and history that support the benefits of Diva Dance.

According to research from studies conducted by scientists around the world, there is no separation between the mind and the body. People recognize the power of positive thinking - mind over matter - but many do not realize it goes both ways. "Just as the mind can affect the body, the body can affect the mind," according to Dr. John Ratey, a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and author of "Spark."

By using dance as a metaphor for the way we live our lives, Diva Dance's fun and sexy routine will encourage you to connect with your body/mind/soul and use positive emotions with movement to energize and empower yourself everywhere - on or off the dance floor!

What can I expect?

If you go to Diva Dance don't be surprised if you see the most conservative women, passionate and rubbing their hands up and down their sides and proclaiming: "One, two - I am hot!"

Women of all ages are invited to learn fun routines, including samba and salsa steps, while empowering themselves to "dance their own dance" both on the dance floor and in their own lives.

After using Diva Dance to deeply connecting their mind, body and soul, many women report feeling energized, empowered, happier and more sensual. (There has been a tendency to interpret sensuality as pertaining more to sexual pleasure than to the true definition of being connected with your sense and feelings.)

Some will laugh, some may cry, but they will all have the opportunity to have one of the most fun and unforgettable experience of their lives.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you feel most comfortable dancing in! Some women like to dress up like they are going to a party (feather boas and all), while others prefer wearing their workout clothes. High heels or bare foot - just get ready to Diva Dance!

Who can experience Diva Dance?

Diva Dance is for women of all ages who are looking for fun, practical and powerful tools to energize their life, increase health and achieve total well-being.

You don't need to be an experienced dancer! The women who tend to benefit most from the Diva Dance experience are the ones who open up and allow themselves to experience something new.
