Beautiful Women

In ancient times beauty was described as being in balance with harmony and nature.  The Greeks described it as being in ones finest hour.  Our modern world thinks beauty is only based on the physical.  Yes it can, but it is much more then that.

These are the women that bring harmony and balance to our lives. It might be your grandmother that volunteers at the nursing home. The teenager that is helping feed the hungry. Maybe it is your neighbor that is helping change the world.  We want to bring light to these women that are changing the world. Women that are making our world a better more nurturing place to live. All of the women highlighted in our book our nominated from the public.

Nominations for Beautiful Women of North Dakota has officially closed. The book will be finished summer of 2009. Beautiful Women of Minnesota will soon follow with Beautiful Women of America after that.  If you would like to be added to our mailing list please respond: info@beautifulwomenofamerica.com

Billy Black had created the idea of the book years ago as he was a single dad raising two daughters. “As my daughters were growing up I saw the pressures society places on women and the sometime negative effect striving for physical beauty can have on small girls. I wanted to do a project that would celebrate the inner beauty women have. As I researched beauty I soon realized ancient cultures felt differently about beauty, and I had a revelation to find these women of inner beauty. When my wife Chris Linnares came back from one of her speaking engagements, from a small town in North Dakota, where she had met so many wonderful women with beautiful stories, we decided to collaborate on this project.”
