The Brazilian best selling psychotherapist and author, Chris Linnares, has touched a generation of women in Brazil with her seminars, books, radio show and acclaimed one woman show.

She moved to the United States and brought with her the enchantment of Brazil. With an undying passion for people, love of dance, and humor, her unique speeches captivate audiences everywhere and re-define the meaning of self-empowerment. With her success, she was invited to be one of the spokespeople for the Go Red - American Heart Association and her seminars for women and teams are sought after by leading companies such as: Microsoft, Nivea, Avon, Blue Cross Blue Shield, MeritCare Hospitals, among others.

Her amazing life story and unique ability to use dance as a practical tool to create wellness - in combination with the latest research about mind/body connection - make her an inspiring speaker and writer.

After getting married and moving from the tropics of Brazil to the frozen tundra of Fargo, North Dakota; Chris Linnares overcame postpartum depression, the loss of her father, and the battle of being overweight. In her healing, she was inspired to create Diva Dance: Wellness and Happiness for Fabulous Women! - an uplifting mind/body experience that uses Latin dance as a tool to empower, challenge and entertain in a way never seen before. Fox Television said, “Get you groove on! Diva Dance is a powerful tool to increase women’s self esteem!” Check out the Diva Dance video!

Chris Linnares started sharing her message in small seminars around Fargo and is now traveling all over the country inspiring women and promoting her books: Cinderella on the Couch: Life May Not Be a Fairy Tale but We All Deserve a Happy Ending and You Deserve.

She lives in Fargo and Minneapolis with her daughter and husband, the photographer and writer, Billy Black, with whom she is developing a new book Beautiful Women to expand the society’s definition of beauty. They are also creating the “Dance Your Own Dance Foundation” to empower women to achieve personal and financial success to be able to be a force for good in their communities.
