Buddha Didn't Have PMS!
For almost nine years I’ve been involved in women’s issues in Brazil which inspired me to write books, articles, radio shows, seminars, and a one-woman show with the purpose of empowering women.
Three years ago I met my “prince charming” and instead of taking me to his castle on his white horse, he took me on his snowmobile to the frozen tundra of Fargo, North Dakota.
With this transition came one of the hardest moments of my life: I needed to deal with postpartum depression, the battle of being overweight, the grief of losing my father all while trying to adapt to a new culture. Instead of continuing to empower women, I needed to start my career from scratch and find ways to empower myself.
In those hard times a friend of mine gave me a book about “Happiness” written by, His Holiness, Dalai Lama. I remember I got inspired to study more about Eastern philosophy and I even tried to find time to meditate between changing dirty diapers, doing the laundry and looking for the perfect, but not too sexy, babysitter.
After a not so successful result, I realized that even though I loved those books and had an immense respect for Eastern philosophy…Buddha didn’t have to deal with PMS! And my Diva girlfriends, if I didn’t have that crazy PMS every month, I would be able to write a series of books about “the art of happiness” too!
That’s when I started my journey to discover practical ways to create wellness and happiness in my life as a busy…but fabulous woman!
I want to welcome you to be part of this wonderful and fascinating journey...
